How to Delete Apps on iPhone 6
Are you looking to declutter your iPhone 6 and free up some storage space? Deleting unnecessary apps is a great way to achieve this. In this article, we will guide you through the simple steps on how to delete apps on iPhone 6. Whether you want to remove an app that you no longer use or just want to tidy up your home screen, follow these instructions to get started.
Step 1: Locate the App
First, you need to find the app that you want to delete. Navigate to the home screen of your iPhone 6 and swipe left or right until you find the app. If you have a lot of apps, you can also use the search function at the bottom of the screen to search for the app by name.
Step 2: Press and Hold the App
Once you have located the app, press and hold your finger on the app icon until all the app icons start to wiggle. This is the signal that you are in the process of deleting an app.
Step 3: Tap the “X” Icon
While the app icon is still wiggling, you will see a small “X” icon appear on the top left corner of the app. Tap this “X” icon to delete the app.
Step 4: Confirm Deletion
After tapping the “X” icon, a confirmation message will appear asking if you are sure you want to delete the app. Tap “Delete” to confirm and the app will be removed from your iPhone 6.
Step 5: Remove from Dock (Optional)
If the app was previously located in the dock at the bottom of your home screen, you can remove it from there as well. To do this, press and hold the app icon in the dock until it starts to wiggle. Then, drag the app icon out of the dock and drop it anywhere on the home screen.
Step 6: Exit Edit Mode
Once you have deleted the app and removed it from the dock (if necessary), you can exit the edit mode by tapping the “Done” button located at the top left corner of the screen.
Now you have successfully deleted an app from your iPhone 6. By following these simple steps, you can easily manage your apps and keep your device organized. Remember, deleting apps is not permanent, and you can always reinstall them from the App Store if you change your mind.
